New Buildings Coming to Cuesta College with Measure L Funding (Video)

Cuesta College will break ground in the upcoming months on two new buildings funded by “Measure L,” a $275 million bond. It was passed by San Luis Obispo County voters in November of 2014.

Both the San Luis Obispo and North County campuses will have a new building that will house programs like admissions and records, counseling, financial aid and leadership.

“The whole county is very supportive of Measure L and it’s nice that we are being able to spread the bond over the county as opposed to one campus or the other,” said Terry Reece, Director of Facilities.

Before crews can break ground, they are working to demolish existing buildings. The designs for the buildings are in the final stages of approval.

It is still not clear when the projects will be finished.
