New Firewall Installation Campus-Wide

Description: The Information Technology Department will be installing a new Firewall. Please be advised this work will cause intermittent and complete network outages at both the SLO and NC campuses for the duration of impact. Network access will be restored upon installation completion.

Wireless Access Points Installation Work at Central Campus
Location: North County Campus
Date(s) in Effect: 1/21/22, 7am-4pm
Description: Contractor will be onsite installing wireless access points along the new central campus walkway and bus stop at Parking Lot 10. This work will not affect campus network and should not impede pedestrian walkway. Area of work is highlighted in Red on the associated map.
Demolition Work Around Building 6300
Location: San Luis Obispo
Date(s) in Effect: 1/12/22 – 1/14/22, 7am-4pm
Description: Demolition work will be taking place around Building 6300. Contractor will be using a lift to remove roof tiles and replace roofing insulation at Building 6300. Area of work is noted on associated map. Please be advised pedestrian access around this area will be obstructed for the duration of impact. Noise is to be expected.

Description: Contractor will be striping in Parking Lot 10. Please be advised the area noted on the associated map will be blocked off and closed for duration of impact.
Reach Lift Work at Building 6300
Location: San Luis Obispo
Date(s) in Effect: 1/11/22, 7am-4pm
Description: A reach lift will be utilized to move material from the roof top at Building 6300. Please be advised the area between Building 6100 and 6300 as noted on the associated map will be inaccessible for the duration of impact. Noise is to be expected.
Network Disruption at Building N1000/N1100, IT Room
Location: North County Campus
Date(s) in Effect: 12/27/21 – 12/30/21, 7am-4pm
Description: Taft Electric will be onsite terminating fiber within the N1000/N1100 building. This will disrupt network access for the entire building for the duration of the work. Access will be restored promptly after the terminations are complete.
Light Pole Installation at Parking Lot 10

Description: Contractor will be installing light pole heads in Parking Lot 10. Please be advised a portion of Parking Lot 10 will be closed for duration of impact. Area of impact is noted on associated map.
Network Maintenance Inside NCC Data Center
Location: North County Campus

Description: The Information Technology team will be performing maintenance on network equipment inside the Data Center. This work will prohibit network access for the entire campus for the duration of impact. Network access will be restored immediately after the work is complete.
