Description: UPDATE: The migration to the new Data Center and replacement of campus electrical switchgear was completed ahead of schedule over the winter break. No additional shutdowns are required to complete the work. The planned shutdown for January 18th, 2020 has been cancelled.
Bldg. 2100 HVAC and Crane Pick

Description: Jan. 13th - 20th _ HVAC equipment and ductwork will be removed and replaced on the building. Interior building access for the work will be through the ceiling in room 2103. Access will be limited in room 2103 for the duration of work. Jan. 14th – A crane will be used to install the new HVAC equipment on the roof. This work will require the building to be vacant – no access will be allowed while the crane is in operation. Equipment noise is to be expected. Parking interruptions in Lot 5 may occur.
Bldg. 7300 Fiber Replacement

Description: Fiber optic cable running through underground vaults from the Data Center to outside of building 7300 will be replaced. All paths of travel will remain accessible.
Building 1400 Asphalt Repair

Building 1400 Floor Replacement

Campus Wide and Building Power and Technology Outages

Description: The migration to the new Data Center and replacement of campus electrical switchgear will result in campus wide and building outages to both power and technology. Campus Wide Power Outages Dates: Saturday, December 14th, 7am-5pm, Thursday, December 26th, 5am – Saturday, December 28th, 8pm, Saturday, January 18th, 5am-8pm Electrical switchgear on campus is being replaced. All buildings on the SLO campus will be without power. All items requiring refrigeration must be relocated during the shutdown to avoid expiration. Campus Wide Tech Outages Dates: Saturday, December 14th, 7am-5pm, Wednesday, December 18th, 6am – Sunday, December 22nd The servers and networking equipment will be moved to the new Data Center. The following should remain operational: Public Cuesta Website, Microsoft Office 365 services (employee email, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.) from off campus, and the emergency myAlert system will have the ability to text users in case of emergency. No other services will be available (Banner, myCuesta, grading, Canvas, shared drives, printing, wireless, classroom AV, etc.). Network outage also impacts the ability to make adjustments to room temperatures. Please be advised Facilities will not be able to address room temperature requests.The North County Campus will have an internet connection but will not have access to the listed services. 1000s & 2000s Complex Power OutageBuildings 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 2300, 2400, 2500 Dates: Saturday, December 14th, 7am – Saturday, January 18th, 8pm Buildings 2100, 2600 & 2700 will only be without power during the Campus Wide outages. Power OutageBuildings 1400, 1600, 2200 Dates: Saturday, December 14th, 7am – Sunday, December 15th, 3pm Temporary generators will be setup to power up Buildings 1400 (Gym), 1600 (Pool) and 2200 on December 14th – work is anticipated to be complete by December 15th at 3pm. Please note these buildings will not be impacted by the Campus Wide Outage from December 26-28th.
2000 Complex HVAC replacement – Crane Use

Description: A crane will be used onsite to remove and replaced the existing HVAC equipment on the 2100, 2200 and 2400 buildings. The area affected by this work is highlighted in yellow on the associated map and will be off limits to the public. Some equipment noise is to be expected and parking interruptions may occur in Lot 5.
Limited Access Around Building 2600/2700
Location: San Luis Obispo Campus

Description: A lift will be on-site adjacent to Building 2600/2700 to reach an external wireless access point on the side of the building. The area highlighted in yellow on the associated map will be off limits to public access.
