SLO Instructional Building Construction Fencing Removal

Description: The San Luis Obispo Instructional Building project’s construction personnel will be removing the construction fencing beginning Tuesday, January 9, 2018. The parking area highlighted on the associated map will remain closed due for asphalt repair and seal coating between Thursday, January 10-15, 2018 and will be accessible to faculty and staff on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. During this timeframe you should expect increased noise from equipment operation and backup alarms, as well as odors from hot oil, asphalt and slurry materials. Please notify anyone that this work may impact.

SLO Instructional Building Fire Alarm Testing

Description: UPDATE: The San Luis Obispo Instructional Building project’s construction personnel will be testing the fire alarm system on Monday, 1/8/18. This will require testing of the audible alarms at the Instructional Building but the sound may be heard through-out the campus. Please notify anyone that this work may impact.
Romauldo Road Asphalt Overlay Project
Location: San Luis Obispo Campus
Date(s) in Effect: Tuesday, 12/12/17 through Friday, 1/12/18
Description: The San Luis Obispo Campus Romauldo Road Asphalt Overlay project is scheduled to start on 12/26/17 with an anticipated completion date of 01/12/18. Work to be performed includes grinding of existing damaged asphalt, installation of paving fabric, asphalt overlay and striping on the roads highlighted in yellow on the map. In addition, Hollister Road will be slurry sealed and striped. Work will occur between the hours of 7am and 5pm Monday through Saturday. During this timeframe you should expect intermittent road closures, parking lot closures, traffic control and flagging, increased truck and equipment traffic, increased noise from grinding, equipment operation and backup alarms, as well as odors from hot oil, asphalt and slurry materials.
UPDATE:
• Romauldo Road, Education Drive, and Cuesta College Road and Parking Lot 4 are scheduled to be CLOSED Thursday 1/11/18 and intermittently on Friday 1/12/18 for the completion of striping.
• Hollister Road is scheduled to be reduced to one way traffic for slurry seal installation on Thursday 01/11/18 and Friday 1/12/18 for striping. One Way Traffic Control will be implemented with Vehicles ENTERING the campus on Hollister Road and EXITING the via the Education Drive Exit.
• Parking Lots 1A, 2A, 3 and 4 are scheduled to be CLOSED for the duration of the project. Parking lot 5 is OPEN for your use.
Detours, traffic Control devices, signage, and flaggers will be implemented to provide access through and around the campus at all times. Romauldo Road, portions of Cuesta College Road, and Education Drive Circle will be closed intermittently for grinding, paving and striping operations.

North County Campus SIM Lab Building Concrete Work

Date(s) in Effect: Tuesday, 12/12/17 through Friday 12/15/17
Description: The North County Campus SIM Lab Relocation project’s construction personnel will be excavating, installing formwork, and placing concrete at the ADA ramp along with completion of the drainage system and finish grading at the NC Campus’s new SIM Lab building. Work is scheduled to be performed Tuesday, 12/12/17 through Friday 12/15/17 between the hours of 7am and 5pm. Increased noise from excavation equipment, concrete truck operation, construction personnel and vehicles, and tools and saws will be noticeable during this time. All work will be performed inside the construction fencing with the exception of ingress and egress of equipment and vehicles. Please notify all parties in this area that may be affected by this work.
SIM Lab Building Fire Alarm Testing

Description: The SIM Lab Relocation project’s construction personnel will be performing fire and smoke alarm testing on the NC campus in the new SIM Lab building. Testing will occur Friday, 12/08/17 between the hours of 7 and 8 AM. Increased noise from periodic alarms, construction vehicles, and personnel will be noticeable during this time. If you hear audible alarms during these times at the new SIM Lab building, please do not call Public Safety or Facilities Services unless you know it is an actual emergency.

Description: The SIM Lab Relocation project’s construction personnel will be performing fire alarm testing on the NC campus at the new SIM Lab building. Testing will occur Monday, 11/27/17 between the hours of 10am and 4pm and personnel will be putting the Fire Alarm system on TEST mode on Tuesday 11/28/17 to allow programming to the Fire Alarm Control Panel to add the new building. If you hear alarms during these times at the new SIM Lab building, please do not call Public Safety or Facilities Services unless you know it is an actual emergency. Increased noise, construction equipment, vehicles and personnel will be noticeable with this fire alarm testing.
SLO Instructional Building Asphalt Placement

Description: The San Luis Obispo Instructional Building project’s construction personnel will be placing new asphalt adjacent to the northwest side of the new building on Thursday, 11/02/17. The asphalt trucks will be entering the campus through Parking Lot 4 and will be taking the path as highlighted in yellow on the map. Construction personnel will be escorting the trucks through the campus. An increase in noise and asphalt fumes will be noticeable during this time. Please notify anyone that this work may impact.
Cuesta College North County Campus SIM Lab Modular Building Arrival

Description: The Cuesta College North County Campus SIM Lab Relocation project’s personnel will be moving the future SIM Lab modular building on campus Saturday, 10/28/17, from 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM. They will be accessing the site via Parking Lot 11 and the main walkway as indicated in green on the map. Construction personnel will be available to assist you through this area if an alternate route is not available. Please expect some noise and dust. As well as an increase in construction equipment, vehicles and personnel activity will be noticeable during this time. Please notify anyone in your area this process may impact.
SLO Instructional Building Furniture Delivery

Description: The San Luis Obispo Instructional Building project’s personnel will begin receiving deliveries of furniture on Monday, 10/16/17 and is expected to continue through Friday, 10/20/17. The delivery trucks will be entering and exiting the campus through parking lot 4 and accessing the building from the west side of building 2100 as indicated on the map below. Please notify anyone in your area that this work may impact.
