Temporary Power Shut Down – 1000 and 2000 Complexes

Description: The contractor for 1000/2000 12KV Medium Voltage Electrical Equipment Replacement (Switchgear) project will be shutting down the power to the 1000 and 2000 complexes on Saturday, 5/18/19. The power will be shut off to the 1000 complex from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM and the power will be shut off to the impacted 2000 complex buildings from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Asphalt Overlay Project Preparation and Road Controls

Description: The San Luis Obispo Campus Road Overlay, Phase II project’s construction personnel will be mobilizing and placing erosion control on 05/31/19 in preparation for the asphalt overlay project. Beginning on Monday, 6/3/19 at 7:00 AM through 3:30 PM, Sunday, 6/9/19, one-way traffic controls will be in place and some delays are expected. The areas impacted are indicated on the associated map and include Chorro Valley Road and a portion of both Cuesta College and Hollister roads. Please notify all parties that this work may impact. Early Childhood Education Center Driveway Demolition and Installation

Description: On Thursday, April 25, 2019 the R & B Shultz Early Childhood Education Center’s general contractor will begin the demolition and installation of the driveways for the R&B Schultz Early Education Building parking lot. Two sections of the existing sidewalk, along Dallons Drive will be closed for approximately two weeks during construction of the driveways. This work is scheduled to occur from 7:00 AM, Thursday, April 25, 2019 through 5:00 PM, Friday, May 10, 2019. Please notify all parties that this work may impact. Data Center Gas Line Work

Description: The San Luis Obispo Campus Data Center project’s General Contractor will be completing work associated with the natural gas line that will feed Data Center’s new generator. The area to be affected by this work will be cordoned off to public access. The area impacted is highlighted in on the associated map. This work will be begin on 4/17/19 at 7:00 am and complete by 5:00 PM on 4/18/19. Please notify all parties that this work may impact. Planned Internet Outage – Buildings 9100 and 9200

Description: The San Luis Obispo Campus Athletic Fields Wireless & TR Upgrades project’s construction personnel will be switching over to the new data IDF rack. Affected buildings (9100/9200) will have no internet during this time. This work will be starting Friday (4/5/2019) at 3:00pm and completing by Saturday (4/6/2019) at 4:00pm. Plant Science and Maintenance Facility Water Shut Off

Description: The San Luis Obispo Campus Data Center project’s general contractor will be installing the natural gas line, which will feed Data Center’s new generator. The area highlighted on the associated map will be closed to public access from 7:00 AM, 4/1/19 – 5:00 PM, 4/5/19. Relocating the bus stop located on Chorro Valley Road – DELAYED
Location: San Luis Obispo Campus

Description: UPDATE - Due to the weather forecast for the week of April 1, 2019, the Measure L team has postponed the Road Overlay project. The bus stop on Romauldo Road will remain open and the bus service will continue without impact. Once the project is rescheduled, a new construction alert will be posted.

The construction team for the San Luis Obispo Campus Road Overlay, Phase II project will be relocating the bus stop currently located on Chorro Valley Road. Beginning Monday, 04/01/19 through Sunday, 04/07/19, the temporary bus stop will be located on Romauldo Road, near parking lot #3. If you have any questions regarding the bus service, please contact RTA directly.

Exterior asphalt improvements near the Aquatic Center and Building 1400
Location: San Luis Obispo Campus

Description: On Monday March 18, 2019, the San Luis Obispo Aquatics Center project’s general contractor will be beginning exterior improvements on the asphalt between the Aquatic Center and Building 1400, and the asphalt east of Building 1400. This work will occur from 7:00 am- 4:00 pm Monday, 03/18/19 – Friday, 03/22/19.
There will be no access to this area during this time.
