North County Campus Center Saw-Cutting for Chilled Water Line Installation

Description: The North County Campus Center project’s construction personnel will be saw-cutting the asphalt to facilitate the installation of the Chilled Water line and associated valves. This work will occur outside the construction area near Parking Lot 11 in the area highlighted in yellow below and is scheduled to occur Friday, November 11, 2016. During this activity, increased noise and dust will be noticeable, parking will be reduced in lot 11, and some walkways may be encroached. This area will be coned-off for pedestrian safety. Please notify anyone in your area that this work may impact.
SLO Instructional Building Concrete Placement
Location: San Luis Obispo Campus
Date(s) in Effect: Thurs 11/10 and Fri 11/11
Description: The San Luis Obispo Instructional Building project’s construction personnel will be placing concrete within the construction zone on Thursday, November 10, 2016 and Friday, November 11, 2016. There will be increased traffic on Chorro Valley Road due to multiple concrete trucks entering and exiting the construction zone through Parking Lot 5. Please notify anyone in your area that this work may impact.
SLO Aquatics Core Testing
Location: San Luis Obispo Campus

Description: The project team will be coring for test samples at the 1600 Aquatics Building on the pool deck Friday, October 28th beginning at 7:00 am and will continue throughout the day. There will be some noise associated with this work. Please be advised that the access to the pool will be maintained, and is not expected to be impacted during this work.
North County Campus Steel Delivery and Erection

Description: The North County Campus Center project’s construction personnel will be delivering and erecting structural steel from Monday, October 17, 2016 through December 9, 2016. The equipment and steel delivery trucks will be entering and exiting the construction zone via the dedicated project entrance on Buena Vista Drive. During the erection of the structural steel you may also notice an increase in noise and welding odors. Please notify anyone in your area that these activities may impact.
SLO Instructional Building Electrical Main Pulling
Location: San Luis Obispo Campus

Description: The San Luis Obispo Instructional Building project’s construction personnel will be pulling wire to the electrical main switch outside the construction zone on Friday, October 7, 2016. Construction personnel will have this area fenced off while equipment is being used to pull the wire. Please notify anyone that this work may affect.
North County Campus Center Concrete Slab Placement

Date(s) in Effect: Monday, 10/3
Description: The North County Campus Center project’s construction personnel will be placing concrete for the building’s slab-on-grade within the construction zone. This work is scheduled to occur Monday, 10/03/16 beginning at 6:00 am and continuing throughout the day. During this activity, there will be heavy truck traffic on Buena Vista Drive. Please be aware of this activity when entering and exiting the campus.
SLO Transformer Placement
Location: San Luis Obispo Campus

Description: The San Luis Obispo Instructional Building project’s construction personnel will be setting the new transformer on the recently placed concrete pad outside the construction zone on Friday, September 23, 2016. Construction personnel will work with the public to provide access through this area while the transformer is being placed. Please notify anyone that this work may affect.
SLO Campus Power Shut Off
Location: San Luis Obispo Campus
Date(s) in Effect: Saturday, 10/8
Description: Cuesta College will be shutting power off campus wide to make a critical repair on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 6:00 a.m. As with any power shut down there will be no ventilation running in buildings and no power for refrigerators. Please remove any items of concern from refrigerators before this planned shutdown. Power is scheduled to be restored by the end of the day.
SLO Instructional Building Transformer Pad Installation

Description: The San Luis Obispo Instructional Building project’s construction personnel will be installing rebar and placing concrete for the new transformer pad on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 through Thursday, September 1, 2016. Construction personnel will work with the public to provide access through the area north of the construction site adjacent to the fence line (see area highlighted in yellow). Please notify anyone that this work may affect.
San Luis Obispo Instructional Building Steel Installation

Date(s) in Effect: Monday, 8/29 through Monday, 10/31
Description: The San Luis Obispo Instructional Building project’s construction personnel will begin delivering and erecting structural steel on Monday, August 29, 2016 through Monday, October 31, 2016. The delivery trucks will be entering and exiting the construction zone through Parking Lot 5. The erection of the structural steel will produce construction noise higher than usual as well as an odor due to the welding of steel members. Please notify anyone that this work may affect.
