Data Center Fire Alarm Testing

Data Center Fiber Pulling
Location: San Luis Obispo Campus

Description: Construction personnel will be pulling fiber underground from the new Data Center to the electrical room in Building 1300. The contractor will also be in the hallway and breakroom pulling cable overhead. There may be minimal impacts around the area of work highlighted in the associated map.

Data Center Underground Fiber Work

Description: Construction personnel will be pulling fiber underground from the new Data Center to the electrical room in Building 1400 on Tuesday, October 29 from 7am-3pm. There may be minimal impacts around the area of work highlighted in the associated map. No other areas of 1400 will be impacted.
Building 7300 Boiler Replacement

Description: The existing boiler for the 7300 building is being replaced. For the duration of construction, there will be no heat supplied to the building. Please be advised that moderate noise may be heard at times.
Buildings 2100 and 2400 Roofing
Location: San Luis Obispo Campus

Description: Final phase of roof coping and flashing will take place on Buildings 2100 and 2400 from Monday, October 28 through Friday, November 1 from 6am-6pm. There will be no major effects to use and access of the buildings. Please be advised some noise is to be expected.
Crane Outside Building 1400

Description: The San Luis Obispo Campus Data Center project’s General Contractor will be testing the Data Center fire alarm for proper operation. The fire alarm test is schedule to occur from 6:00 AM through 9:00 AM on Tuesday, 10/22/19. The fire alarm will be audible at this time and is just a test. Asphalt Work Near Buildings 4100 and 3300

Description: The San Luis Obispo Campus Fiber Star contractor will be prepping, then patching, back asphalt at the walkways in the areas indicated on the associated map. Please be advised that there may be some odors and moderate equipment noise during this time. The contractor will start at approximately 7:00 am on 10/22/19 and be complete by 3:30 pm 10/22/19.
